Underground Imaging Technologies, LLC (UIT), a Caterpillar affiliate, is searching for accomplished sales engineers and business development professionals. Working with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners, UIT provides the most advanced subsurface geophysical imaging and 3D mapping services throughout the United States. Do you excel at recognizing opportunities for the application of a technical service or product;generating leads, maximizing past client contacts, and chasing new opportunities;developing long-term customer relationships;discussing projects on a technical level with professionals;reviewing and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs);preparing client proposals;finding exposure opportunities through trade affiliations and associations;presenting technical presentations for sales and continuing education purposes;providing technical and sales feedback information to internal marketing, operations, and management;maximizing networking efforts at trade shows and conferences;using professional-based social networking to brand yourself and your company;working both independently and as part of a dynamic technical team;investigating and understanding competitive (and collaborative) products and services;researching potential target markets and clients;managing your time (while traveling up to 50% of the time);communicating through report generation, including sales forecasts, account activity/client visits, marketing plans; and mentoring junior-level sales and marketing colleagues?Ideally, the UIT candidate will hold a 4-year degree in engineering or geology with a professional license (P.E., P.G., PSM, or LS) and 10 years of experience; however, relevant industry experience in a sales or business development role or experience in a public service or agency may be substituted.This is not a commission-based position; however, the selected person will participate in a company-wide bonus program based on the achievement of both personal and company objectives.The salary is dependent on experience.
